Today, Wednesday, the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Nayef Al-Fayez, circulated new procedures for tourist and hotel facilities, to work with them, in light of the emergence of the new Corona mutant “Omicron”.

The new procedures stipulated the need to adhere to the requirements of public health and safety, to adhere to the wearing of a muzzle and physical distancing, and the recommendations of the National Committee to Combat Epidemics, which include the following:

1 – Conducting a PCR examination for all those coming to the Kingdom through land, air and sea border crossings, regardless of their vaccination status, and canceling the previous decision in this regard.

2 – In the event of a suspected case of the new mutant (omicron), the case is institutionally isolated in a hotel in Amman until the final result appears or the genetic sequence is examined.

3 – If the final result is positive, the patient will be isolated for a period of (14) institutionally.

4 – If the case is confirmed from the beginning that it is a mutant omicron, then the case is institutionally isolated in a hotel in Amman for a period of (14) days, during which a PCR examination is performed on the fifteenth day.

5- It is mandatory to conduct a PCR examination (48) hours before for all participants and to attend parties and gatherings, in addition to the condition that they receive two doses of the vaccine and that no more than six months have passed since the second dose.
