On Tuesday, Prime Minister Dr. Bishr Al-Khasawneh sponsored a ceremony organized by the “Hemtna” initiative to honor the donors and strategic partners who contributed to the rehabilitation and equipping of the Oncology Department at Al-Bashir Hospital “Samih Darwaza Center for Oncology Treatment” with an area of ​​1,400 square meters and a cost of about one and a half million Jordanian dinars.

The celebration coincides with the launch of the operational phase in the Oncology Department at Al-Bashir Hospital, and the start of receiving patients under the supervision and management of the King Hussein Cancer Center.

During his speech at the ceremony, which was attended by Minister of State for Prime Minister Affairs Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jazi, Minister of Social Development Ayman Al-Mufleh and Minister of Health Dr. Firas Al-Hawari, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of the “Himatna Initiative” to rehabilitate and equip the Oncology Department at Al-Bashir Hospital in line with the vision of His Majesty King Abdul The second God is to develop the medical sector and improve the level of health services provided to citizens.

He also affirmed the government’s support for the “Hemtna” initiative and its future projects that aim to develop the health sector and rehabilitate health and medical centers that benefit patients, pointing out that the initiative reflects the true partnership between the public and private sectors, and reflects the national and humanitarian role provided by these institutions that have never been stingy. To fulfill its duty to the country.

Al-Khasawneh referred to the cooperation agreement signed by the Ministry of Health with the King Hussein Cancer Center to supervise and manage the Oncology and Hematology Department at Al-Bashir Hospital (Samih Darwaza Center for Oncology Treatment), which contributes to enhancing the quality of treatment, achieving justice and providing optimal health care for cancer patients.

The Prime Minister expressed his thanks and appreciation to the donors and strategic partners for their contribution to the completion of the Oncology Department at Al-Bashir Hospital, which has become a working edifice that provides medical and health services to patients.

Founder and Executive Director of Hemtna, Dr. Fadia Samara, said that the association seeks, through its initiatives and projects, to consolidate the right of all patients to receive proper treatment in a safe environment, by rehabilitating treatment and health centers, through establishing real partnerships with many institutions to ensure the sustainability and operation of these projects. in the optimal way.

Samara referred to the association’s second project, which is the opening of the project of the specialized therapeutic isolation and intensive care department in the medical city, which covers an area of ​​1,200 square meters, with a capacity of 18 rooms, and at a cost of 700 thousand dinars.

She pointed out that the association is in the process of carrying out a project to rehabilitate and develop 25 comprehensive health centers throughout the Kingdom, through the rehabilitation of infrastructure, which contributes to reducing overcrowding in hospitals by providing primary medical procedures to patients in these centers.

In his speech during the ceremony, Eng. Saeed Darwaza stressed the importance of continuing to support the efforts of the “Hemtna” association to achieve its goals and future visions, and thanked the Ministry of Health and the King Hussein Cancer Center for their support of the “Hemtna” initiative.

The ceremony included the release of a song for the initiative by Jordanian artist Zain Awad, and a poem entitled “Anthem of Hope and Joy” delivered by the Lebanese journalist and poet Zahi Wehbe.

At the end of the ceremony, the Prime Minister honored the supporters and strategic partners who contributed to the rehabilitation and equipping of the Oncology Department at Al-Bashir Hospital “Samih Darwazah Oncology Center”.
