The former president of Al-Wehdat Club, Bashar Al-Hawamdeh, is facing a lawsuit filed by two members of the General Authority of Al-Faisaly Club, against the background of insulting Al-Faisaly with “derogatory terms.”
The complaint relates to an audio recording made by Al-Hawadah to several people, and uttered in obscene terms against Al-Faisaly Club, according to the complainants’ account.
For his part, the complainants’ attorney, Lawyer Hamza Al-Shobaki, requested that the complaint be accepted in form and substance and that the necessary legal requirements be taken in these cases, indicating that the complaint was actually accepted and transferred to an expert specialized in analyzing the audio recordings.
Al-Shobaki said that the audio recording contains “slander, slander and contempt,” in addition to several other crimes, including the claim that he is influential in state agencies.
Regarding the time of recording the audio clip, Lawyer Al-Shobaki indicated that it does not affect the progress of the complaint, considering that the case concerns a personal right and has nothing to do with the management of Al-Faisaly Club.
In turn, Al-Hawamdeh confirmed in statements today, Sunday, that he had not received a notification of filing a lawsuit against him regarding the audio recording so far, explaining that the recording was sent in a closed group and came as a response to the formation of a temporary committee to manage Al-Wehdat Club, stressing that the name of Al-Faisaly was received by mistake.
He considered that the exit of the recording from the closed group to the public is defective, pointing out that he did not intend to offend the Al-Faisaly club.
