Higher Education: Acceptance of Tawjihi supplementary students for the next second semester

The Higher Education Council approved, in its session held last Thursday, the acceptance of Jordanian students who will complete the requirements for passing the General Secondary Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) for the supplementary session (2021) for the first time in Jordanian public universities, at the beginning of the second semester of the academic year 2021/2022.

And the media spokesman for the Ministry, Muhannad Al-Khatib, stated, today, Saturday, that the admissions will be according to the minimum competitive admission rates for the summer session (general session) 2021/2022, and according to the vacancies attributed to universities and the Higher Education Accreditation Commission and their quality assurance.

Al-Khatib added that the council agreed to allocate 10 percent of the seats in each major/university in the majors available for admission in the second semester of the academic year 2021/2022 for repeat students (students who applied for the Jordanian high school exam/supplementary course (2021) for the purposes of raising the rate), and their acceptance first The second semester of the academic year 2021/2022, and according to the minimum competitive admission rates for repeat students (graduated students) in the summer session (general session) 2021/2022, and according to the vacancies attributed to universities and the Higher Education Accreditation Commission and their quality assurance.

The Higher Education Council had confirmed that, starting from the next academic year (2022/2023), repeat students (students to raise the average) will be accepted within the category of students of previous years, for whom the general policy for accepting students is allocated only 5% of the seats without being increased.
