The orchid doctor succeeds in implanting the world’s smallest eye pressure mesh

Dr. Amer Musa Al-Wareikat, consultant ocular pressure surgeon at Lahey Medical Center, assistant professor at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, USA, performed the smallest intraocular pressure mesh implant in Jordan and worldwide.
It is noteworthy that several surgeries have been performed to implant the iStent inject W for the treatment of glaucoma diseases (glaucoma or high intraocular pressure), which is the smallest stent implanted in the human body globally.
Al-Wreikat performed 8 operations in several specialized centers, and in Jordan, all of them were successful, on Thursday and Saturday (25-27) last November.
It also provided two hands-on training workshops to train local doctors in this procedure.
Al-Wareikat indicated that this operation is one of the latest techniques for treating eye pressure diseases in the early and middle stages of the disease.
