Today, Friday, the Ministry of Education announced that the number of students whose parents agreed to receive the Corona vaccine amounted to 37,295 students.

The ministry indicated that the students who received the first dose of the vaccine amounted to 136,855 male and female students, and who received two doses of 102,635 male and female students.

The ministry indicated that through the campaigns and initiatives launched by the ministry during the last two weeks to encourage students to receive the vaccine, 2,168 male and female students have been vaccinated.

The Ministry of Education had asked parents of students to agree to give their children the vaccination voluntarily and with the consent of the guardian, and it is not compulsory for the age group of 12-17 years.

This initiative by the Ministry comes in line with medical and epidemiological opinions indicating that vaccination for school students has a major role in reducing the number of infections (Corona virus) or alleviating symptoms for the infected person.

According to official statistics from the Ministry of Education, the rate of active injuries among students, teachers and administrators in schools is 0.008%.
