The Minister of State for Media Affairs, the official spokesman for the government, Faisal Shboul, announced that the government is considering extending Defense Order No. 28, which is related to the debtor and which expires at the end of this year, for a specific period of time, which will be announced at a later time.

Shboul said, in a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), that the government, as part of its efforts to confront the epidemiological situation, has taken a number of additional precautionary measures based on the recommendations approved by the National Committee to Combat Epidemics.

And he indicated that the procedures included obligating all participants and attendance at parties and gatherings to perform a PCR examination 48 hours before, in addition to the requirement that they obtain two doses of the vaccine; So that no more than 6 months have passed since the person received the second dose of the Corona vaccine.

Al-Shaboul added that the procedures also included isolating the suspected case of the Omicron mutant in institutional isolation in a hotel in the capital, Amman, until the final result appears, or the genetic sequence examination, indicating that if the final result is positive, the isolation of the injured is completed for a period of 14 days; Institutional isolation.

He said that if the Omicron mutant is confirmed from the beginning, the case will be institutionally isolated in a hotel in the capital for a period of 14 days, during which a PCR examination will be conducted for the patient on the fifth day to follow up on confirming the result.

He referred to the government’s decision to require conducting a PCR examination for all those coming to the Kingdom through land, air and sea border crossings, regardless of their vaccination status, and to cancel the previous decision in this regard.
