The head of the Education and Health Committee at the National Center for Human Rights, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badour, hinted at the possibility of undetected cases of Omicron virus infection in the Kingdom, especially after the official announcement by the Ministry of Health of the registration of a local case infected with this type of virus yesterday, Thursday.
Al-Badour said in a televised statement this Friday morning, that he fears that the fourth wave of Corona in the Kingdom will be sponsored by “Omicron” after the current third wave was sponsored by “Delta.”
Al-Badour added, “There is no weapon now to confront this type of virus except for vaccinations, stressing the importance of stopping gatherings in general in the Kingdom, such as parties, mourning homes, and others, calling for a national effort to urge people to seek vaccinations.”
Al-Bdoor saw that distance education has reinforced the idea of class in our society, because of the material capabilities and technological devices it needs to continue with it. Some families in remote areas only have one device among a group of their students who need this device to enter the platform and continue their education.
He stressed that distance education was an option in light of the pandemic, but it did not achieve excellent results compared to face-to-face education, indicating that the next 40 days after the end of school exams should be an opportunity for the Ministry of Education and the government in general to think and take the appropriate decision in light of new developments. for the epidemiological situation.
