A source in the Ministry of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places stated that the reason for the incident of a mosque preacher in Irbid governorate delivering the two Friday sermons despite being infected with the new Corona virus was poor coordination in informing the preacher and his diligence.

The source indicated that the preacher was in the home quarantine, and informed the Ministry of his infection with Corona, and a replacement preacher was identified for him, but an error occurred in informing the alternative preacher, and he did not attend the mosque.

Al-Masd added, that the main preacher infected with Corona worked hard and decided to ascend to the pulpit, and delivered the Friday sermon because there was no alternative.

According to the source, Al-Khatib was transferred to institutional isolation in the field hospital in Irbid, and an investigation was opened into the cause of the error in informing the alternative preacher.
