Last Monday, unknown assailants attacked the Roman Catholic cemetery of Ader in the Karak governorate.
Activists on social media circulated pictures showing the attack on the cemetery, in which dozens of tombstones and crosses of graves were destroyed and desecrated, noting that the incident is in itself a dissemination of hatred among the people of the country.
The activists demanded that the perpetrators of the attack be held accountable, asking at the same time, “What is the fault of the dead for persecuting their graves, are they not satisfied with persecuting the living?”
