Today, Wednesday, the Governor of Al-Balqa, Dr. Firas Abu Qaoud, suspended 19 butcheries and restaurants from operating in the province.

Abu Qaoud indicated that the suspension decision came after it was proven that those responsible for it tampered with seals and sold imported meat as municipal meat.

Abu Qaoud stressed that he does not tolerate the right of those who tempt himself to manipulate the citizen’s strength and health.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Industry and Trade decided earlier to separate the sale of municipal meat from imported meat in commercial centers and large markets (malls) in order to prevent fraud or confusion.

The decision was based on the provisions of Article 4, paragraph (3/b) of the Industry and Trade Law No. 18 of 1998.
