The Secretary-General of the Islamic Action Front Party, Eng. Murad Al-Adayleh, warned against “the danger of the constitutional amendments added by the government, contrary to the King’s guarantee of transferring the outcomes of the royal committee as they are to Parliament, because the proposed amendments by the government represent a change in the form of the political system in Jordan from a parliamentary monarchy.” To the absolute monarchy system and place the king in the forefront of the executive authority, in a manner that does not serve the interests of the political system and poses a threat to it and affects its stability, while undermining the general mandate of the government.

Adaileh stressed, in a speech during a conference held by the Supporters of Virtue Society on the outcomes of the Royal Committee for the Modernization of the Political System, “rejecting these amendments that change the character of the king from being a reference for the authorities to be at the forefront of these authorities, in a way that does not achieve the interest of the state and the political system.” He called on the House of Representatives to respond to these amendments in order to advise the system and the state and to ensure national stability

On the other hand, he considered, “It is not possible to achieve an effective partisan and political life without providing an atmosphere for political freedoms,” and that “lifting the security grip on civil and political life and stopping the security restrictions on parties, unions, civil society institutions and public work will push large sectors of citizens to turn to Parties and political action.”

Adaileh asked, “What message are the authorities sending by arresting Jordanian youth and university students who expressed their rejection of normalization and the water-for-electricity agreement that affects the security and stability of the homeland? As if talking about youth empowerment and freedom of partisan and political work has no value on the ground.”
