Al-Daghmi: The permanent committees of the council will be keen to listen to the citizens’ demands

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Lawyer Abdul Karim Al-Daghmi, affirmed that the permanent committees of the House are keen to listen to the demands of citizens and the various sectors, based on their duty and responsibilities to achieve the desires and aspirations of citizens.

He said during his meeting, today, Sunday, with a delegation of farmers in the central Jordan Valley, that the doors of Parliament are open to all and we will deal with all citizens’ demands with all seriousness, pointing out that the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture, Water and Badia, as soon as the election of its members ends, will have the responsibility to listen to the sector’s demands and find appropriate solutions to outstanding problems. By communicating with the relevant government agencies.

The delegation of farmers presented a number of challenges and demands facing the sector, most notably the reduction of fees for expatriate workers, and the reversal of the mandatory decision to include expatriate workers with social security.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Speaker of the House of Representatives Rashid Al-Shouha, and MPs Majhem Al-Saqour and Ali Al-Ghazawi.
