Al-Salt team reached the final of the Jordan Cup, after beating its counterpart Al-Hussein Irbid with two goals, in the meeting that was held at Prince Hussein Stadium in Al-Salt, on Sunday, in the opening of the semi-final round of the competition.
The first goal of the meeting came in the 61st minute through the Cameroonian player Ronald Wanga, while Zaid Abu Abed added the second goals of Al-Salt in the 77th minute.
The final match will be held next Thursday, as Salt is scheduled to meet the winner of the Al-Faisaly and Al-Wehdat match, which will start shortly.
On the other hand, Al-Faisaly and Al-Wehdat will meet at Amman International Stadium at 6:30 pm today, to challenge the identity of the finalists.
The confrontation between Al-Faisaly and Al-Wehdat is of particular importance to the two teams, as each of them is looking to save their season after failing to win the Federation Shield and the Professional League.
Al-Faisaly seeks to reconcile its fans and break the sway of its rival, Al-Wehdat, which has won it in the last 5 matches, while Al-Wehdat is looking forward to its sixth consecutive victory.
Abdullah Abu Zama, Al Wehdat coach, knows the mistakes that the team suffered in the league, especially the lack of stability in the formation, poor choices and recruitment of some players, as well as the state of haste and lack of focus in ending the attacks.
It is expected that Abu Zamaa will push Ahmed Abdel Sattar into the goalkeeper, while the defense task will be entrusted to Baizan Al-Arab, Abdullah Nassib, Firas Shelbaya and Muhammad Al-Damiri. In the midfield, Rajaei Ayed and Ahmed Samir play, and Khaled Essam plays in front of them, while the parties will be occupied by Anas Al-Awad and the Lebanese Ahmed Zureik, and the Senegalese Abdelaziz Ndaye will play in the lead.
On the other hand, Al-Faisaly, who has gone through difficult circumstances this season, administratively and financially, is determined to put an end to the advantage of Al-Wehdat in the last matches, and then preserve the title.
The match is an opportunity for Al-Faisaly players to prove their abilities, which also applies to coach Mahmoud Al-Hadid.
Al-Faisaly is expected to rely on Yazid Abu Laila as goalkeeper, Anas Bani Yassin, Baraa Merhi, Uday Zahran and Salem Al-Ajalin in defense. Nizar Al-Rashdan and Abu Jalbush will play in the middle of the field, and in front of them Tannous may play. On the sides, Al-Rawashdeh and Majdi Attar will appear, while Abdullah Awad or Muhammad Al-Akash will play as spearheads.
According to the instructions of the tournament, and in the event that the original time of the match ends in a tie, the two teams resort to penalty kicks directly to decide the result.
