Russian nutrition expert, Dr. Olga Chuntunova, revealed the reason behind calling vitamin E the women’s vitamin, and how it can be compensated for its deficiency in the body.
Speaking to the Russian “Novosti” news agency, Chuntunova stated that “it is often called vitamin Е (the female vitamin), as this vitamin protects the body from premature aging, helps to give birth to healthy children, and its deficiency in the woman’s body leads to weak reproductive function.”
The Russian expert added that “the main signs of vitamin deficiency in the body are muscular dystrophy, movement disorder, inconsistency, and poor eyesight. Also, the skin loses its elasticity and the hair becomes dull, dry and brittle.”
Chuntunova points out that food items containing a high percentage of vitamin Е are almonds, broccoli, salmon, sweet peppers and avocados.
And she continues: “Vitamin Е can be taken for prevention, but not with vitamin D, but it can be taken with vitamins A and C, and vitamin E is not recommended for those who suffer from epilepsy.”
