Expectations of raising fuel prices in Jordan from 20 to 40 piasters per tank

The expert in the field of oil and energy, Engineer Amer Al-Shobaki, expected a rise in fuel prices for the month of October in Jordan, due to the rise in global oil prices.
Al-Shobaki said Thursday morning that it is expected that fuel prices for the month of October will rise from 20 to 40 piasters on oil derivatives in Jordan.
He added that the government is expected to raise the price of 90 octane petrol tanks and 95 octane petrol tanks by 20 piasters, for diesel fuel 40 piasters.
Al-Shobaki attributed this to the rise in global oil prices day after day, reaching $80 per barrel, and a global gas crisis.
The expert in the field of oil and energy, Engineer Amer Al-Shobaki, called on the government to reconsider taxes on oil derivatives, especially with the onset of the winter season and citizens’ need for kerosene and means of heating.
The government said that the prices of oil derivatives continued to rise in global markets, in the fourth week of the current month of September, compared to their prices in the third week.
She added that octane 90 gasoline recorded a price of $705.4 per ton, compared to its price in the third week, which amounted to $696, an increase of 1.3 percent. A rise of 1.4 percent.
Diesel also recorded a price of 617.3 dollars per ton, compared to 604.1 dollars recorded in the third week, an increase of 2.2 percent, and kerosene recorded a price of 648.4 dollars per ton, compared to 632 dollars recorded in the third week, an increase of 2.6 percent.
On the other hand, the price of fuel oil rose from $445.8 per ton to $453.4, an increase of 1.7 percent.
On the other hand, the price of liquefied petroleum gas continued in the month of September at 665 dollars per ton, compared to its price recorded in the month of August, which amounted to 656.3 dollars, an increase of 1.3 percent.
In the fourth week of this month, Brent crude recorded a price of 75.3 dollars per barrel, compared to 73.9 dollars recorded in the third week of this month.
