The Sudanese armed forces announced on Sunday that they had repelled an attempt by Ethiopian forces to incur an incursion into an area on the border between the two countries.

A statement issued by the armed forces said that they repelled the attempt to incur the incursion into the Umm Barakit sector and forced the Ethiopian forces to retreat.
