The general price index of shares listed on the Amman Stock Exchange decreased by 26 percent, to end the week’s trading at the level of 2071 points.
The daily average trading volume in the stock market during the past week amounted to about 8 million dinars, compared to 5.2 million dinars for the previous week, an increase of 53.2%. The total trading volume for this week amounted to about 40 million dinars, compared with 26.2 million dinars for the previous week.
As for the number of traded shares recorded by the ASE during this week, it amounted to 27.6 million shares, executed through 13730 contracts.
