A well-informed Libyan source said that the Libyan government headed by Abdel Hamid Dabaiba refuses Parliament resolution The judge to withdraw confidence from her, given that the decision is not based on a legal basis.
The source, who preferred not to be identified, confirmed that the Dabaiba government will issue a statement later today, declaring its refusal, and confirming that it will continue to perform its duties until the elections scheduled for the twenty-fourth of next December.
And the Libyan House of Representatives announced, on Tuesday, the approval by a majority to withdraw confidence from the national unity government headed by Abdel Hamid al-Dabaiba, while the Supreme Council of State considered this step “void” for violating its procedures, the constitutional declaration and the political agreement.
Parliament spokesman Abdullah Belhaiq said, on his Facebook page, that the parliament decided to withdraw confidence from the government by a majority of 89 out of 113 deputies who attended today’s session, without mentioning any other details.
And earlier on Tuesday, Belhaq said that a closed session of the House of Representatives was launched under the chairmanship of its speaker, Aqila Saleh, and in the presence of the last deputies, Fawzi Al-Nuwairi and Hamid Houma, and 113 deputies.
For his part, the spokesman of the Supreme Council of State, Muhammad Abdel Nasser, said in a tweet that the council “rejects the procedures of withdrawing confidence from the government of national unity, and considers them invalid for violating the constitutional declaration and the political agreement, and considers everything that results from them null.”
