The Parliamentary Reform Bloc said that the government’s permission to organize public festivals and parties in Jerash, Aqaba and others under epidemiological conditions violates the Public Health Law and defense orders in force as a result of the epidemiological situation.

The bloc added in a statement that the government’s permission to hold these events at this time reflects its contradiction, confusion and discrimination in applying the law and its lack of seriousness in taking care of citizens’ health.

With regard to clan jilwa, the bloc expressed its support for all popular efforts aimed at ending the suffering of people due to clan jilwa.

She called on the government and the Public Prosecution to work to implement the rulings issued by the judicial authority, as this has an impact on defusing societal tension and ending all phenomena of infringement of rights and taking revenge.

In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful

“A statement issued by the Parliamentary Reform Bloc about the clan jalwa, and the government’s permission to hold public festivals and parties in light of the epidemic situation.”

The Parliamentary Reform Bloc held its weekly meeting this evening, in which the discussion discussed a number of local and parliamentary issues. In its regular meeting, the bloc discussed what society suffers from as a result of the application of clan jalwa in its current concept, as the bloc affirms that the rule of law, justice, respect for human dignity, and human rights They are lofty principles, and it is not permissible to infringe upon them in any case, and it is not correct to act in a way that contradicts them, and that clan jalwa with its existing concept and application contradicts the principles of Islam, which states that “every soul is a hostage for what it has earned” and that it does not “become the burden of another burden”, as it violates the laws in which there is no penalty. Except with a text, and it does not allow accountability except for the perpetrator of the act, and it prevents the innocent being taken for the crime of the offender
Our society is suffering as a result of this phenomenon, from the severing of wombs, and the disruption of people’s economic, livelihood, and educational interests, to an extent that cannot be tolerated or condoned.
The Islah bloc stands in support of all popular efforts aimed at ending the suffering of the people due to the tribal jihad, and in this regard, we call on the government and the Public Prosecution to work on implementing the judgments issued by the judiciary, as this has an impact on defusing societal tension, and ending all phenomena of infringement of rights , and take revenge.

The bloc also discussed allowing the government to hold mass artistic events in Jerash and Aqaba, and that the bloc holds the government all the possible repercussions of violating the Public Health Law, and the defense orders in force as a result of the epidemiological situation that the world and Jordan are going through, due to the Corona pandemic.

The government’s permission to hold these events, at this time, reflects its confusion, contradiction, discrimination in the application of the law, and its lack of seriousness in taking care of citizens’ health, especially since it is the same who refused to hold events concerned with national affairs despite the small number of participants in them, and their commitment to defense orders and health measures, and puts The obstacles to holding elections in professional unions.

Successive governments are still insisting on holding the Jerash Festival activities, ignoring its negative impact on Jerash Governorate and its accumulated successive losses. Governments continue to lack transparency and clarity in their answers to all questions, inquiries and observations about the aspects of government spending on the Jerash Festival, and the financial waste on its activities. In light of the difficult financial conditions that the country is going through.
We are keen to support the march of purposeful art in our country, which is in harmony with our traditions, values, culture and civilization, revives in the souls the issues of the nation and the homeland, and infuses people with meanings of good.

Therefore, we call on the government to cancel the holding of these events in compliance with the applicable health law and defense orders, and in line with the customs, values ​​and traditions of our Jordanian society, which we are proud of.
