Salma and Salwa, two friends and colleagues at the College of Applied Arts at a private university, the love of artistic designs and colors brought them together, and although they are in university studies, they did not wait for the end of studies to achieve their dream, and they agreed to make a small project for the manufacture of carpets, with different designs, and started their project instead of Waiting for a job after graduating from university.

Salma Yasser, a student in the final year at the Faculty of Applied Arts, at a private university, spoke about her and her friend’s project, to “The Seventh Day”, where she said: “My friend Salwa Hani and I, we love technical drawings and colors, that’s why we chose to study in the Department of Textile Engineering, and we learned In college, how do we design carpets, starting with the design drawing and its basics, and we started our small project and relied on ourselves, and we design carpets according to the customer’s request, whether large or small carpets.”

She continued: “We design classic or modern carpets or any design, and implement them from the smallest to the largest size, and the implementation period takes 15 days, and the drawings that I make are according to the customer’s request, and I make one piece of it so that it is located in the customer’s house and is not in another house, and we make carpets Of natural wool, the pile height is 18 mm.

Salma and her friend’s carpet is engraved with various drawings inspired by nature and others written on it, in order to distinguish it from the different designs, but the two friends faced many difficulties in their small project, which she spoke about, saying: “The difficulties that we faced if there were many people discouraged us in the beginning, and they tell us not You will reach, and what are you doing, and you are still students, but the encouragement of our parents and teachers encouraged us to continue and prove ourselves.”
