The Parliamentary Administration calls for raising the technical allowance for supportive medical professions, accountants and administrators

Today, Sunday, the Parliamentary Administrative Committee called for raising the technical allowance for supportive medical professionals, accountants and administrators in the Ministry of Health to 135 percent, in order to achieve justice and equity for these two categories.

This came during a meeting chaired by Dr. Ali Al-Tarawneh, to discuss the issue of the technical allowance for these two categories, in the presence of Minister of State for Legal Affairs Mahmoud Al-Kharabsheh, President of the Civil Service Bureau Sameh Al-Nasser, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health for Technical and Administrative Affairs Dr. Ilham Khreisat, and representatives of medical professionals. Support, accountants and administrators in the ministry.

At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Tarawneh stressed the need to find a quick solution and take a decisive decision, to implement the demands of these two groups, which are considered an integral part of an integrated circle that plays a qualitative role in providing health service.

He pointed to the necessity of amending the bonus system in the Ministry of Health, and raising the technical allowance for them, noting that there is a discrepancy in the technical allowances between ministries that must be addressed, so as not to reflect negatively on the performance of the public employee.

Al-Tarawneh stressed the importance of developing a unified system of bonuses and rewards to motivate the public employee, especially as they perform the same tasks, praising at the same time the strenuous efforts made by the Ministry of Health cadres in addressing the Corona pandemic.

For their part, the deputies demanded: Hayel Ayyash, Ismail Al Mashaqbeh, Khaled Al Bustanji, Dirar Al Harasis, Farid Haddad, Wael Razzouk, Ahmed Al Khalayleh, Zuhair Al Saideen, Marwa Al Soub and Safa Al Momani, the necessity of raising the allowance for accountants, administrators and supportive medical professions in the Ministry of Health, and to expedite finding a solution that does justice to these two categories, and addresses the discrepancies. The disparity between the salaries of employees in different ministries and institutions.

In turn, Kharabsheh stressed the government’s keenness to achieve justice among employees and improve their living conditions, pointing out that any demand or decision that has a financial impact must be studied by technical and specialized committees, to crystallize this matter and in light of the availability of financial allocations, this requirement will be implemented.

He suggested that a letter from the Parliamentary Administrative Committee be directed to the Prime Minister, containing the demands of these two groups to be carefully studied, expressing his hope that funds will be allocated within the next budget in this regard.

For his part, Al-Nasser said that the government is keen to improve the employee’s living reality, and seeks to achieve justice among all, noting that there is diversity in jobs and differences among them in terms of qualification requirements and duration of study, and the degree of difficulty, complexity, scarcity, privacy, classification and tasks of each, which are done Adoption by the technical committees when determining the technical allowances for each of them.

He added that, based on the letter of the Minister of Health related to technical allowances, technical committees were formed by the Civil Service Council, to study this matter, and then those committees completed their work, and submitted their recommendations to achieve justice to the Civil Service Council, in preparation for referring them to the Council of Ministers with general jurisdiction over Employee affairs and public employment, so that a gradual allowance is granted for the next period to the supportive medical professions and the participating nursing professions, the cost of which is estimated at about 4 million, to be monitored in the event of the approval of the Council of Ministers, despite the difficult financial conditions facing the state’s general budget, to be monitored in the budget Ministry of Health during the next two years.

He stressed the need to maintain a balance between the salaries of the public and private sectors, so that neither one of them is attractive at the expense of the other to ensure the preservation of cadres and the stability and permanence of their work.

For her part, Khreisat affirmed that the Ministry of Health is keen to support this category and achieve justice, like other ministries and departments, praising the great efforts made by all the ministry’s cadres in addressing the “Corona” epidemic and its health effects.

Khreisat indicated that the Minister of Health submitted a letter to the Civil Service Council regarding the technical allowance, stressing the ministry’s keenness to increase the technical allowance for both categories.

She indicated that the Minister of Health, from the beginning, adopted the demands of both groups, and accordingly committees were formed that resulted in decisions that were submitted to the Civil Service Council, which in turn adopted decisions for the supportive medical professions, and the rest of the administrative accountants were unable to do so.

For their part, representatives of workers in the supportive medical professions, accountants and administrators in the ministry demanded an increase in the technical allowance for them by 135 percent, pointing out that their demands are right, and years have passed, but to no avail.

They pointed out the size of the discrepancy between their salaries and the salaries of their counterparts in other ministries, which requires their fairness and the implementation of their demand as quickly as possible.
