The ministry confirms that anti-begging campaigns are continuing in all governorates of the Kingdom in cooperation with the ministries of interior, justice, local administration, public security, the Greater Amman Municipality and municipalities to curb the scourge of begging in various governorates.
The Ministry of Social Development calls on citizens to not give these beggars any sums of money, as they practice beggary to earn money and collect money unnecessarily by attracting people’s sympathy and defrauding them.
The ministry wished citizens to contribute to combating this scourge by communicating with the ministry via the hotline number (0798518274) to report any cases of beggary in the kingdom.
