British inventor Clive Sinclair, who invented the portable calculator and affordable home computers, has died at the age of 81.
His family said today, Friday, that Sinclair died at his home in London yesterday, Thursday, after a long battle with cancer.
One of Sinclair’s most notable innovations was the handheld electronic calculator in 1972.
