The law amending the Companies Law, which was recently published in the Official Gazette, included the adoption of electronic means for submitting applications and depositing minutes and documents with the Companies Control Department.

The law also included the issuance of certificates and copies of them, the adoption of the procedures required by law, and the invitation to meetings of public bodies, boards of directors and directors’ bodies through electronic means, provided that the meetings are managed within the Kingdom.

The amendments included matters related to the election of directors’ bodies in limited liability companies. The amendments aim to improve the business and investment environment and contribute to improving the Kingdom’s classification in international reports.
