His Majesty King Abdullah II stressed the importance of the role of Arab organizations in the United States in strengthening Arab-American relations, and the need to continue interaction with the American administration and various institutions in the United States.

During his meeting today, Wednesday, with a number of representatives of Arab American organizations and elites in New York, in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah and HRH Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, His Majesty expressed his pride in the position the Arab community has reached in the United States of America, and its influential role in communicating destinations The Arab view of American decision-making centers.

The meeting dealt with regional and international developments, especially those related to the region and Arab countries, especially the Palestinian issue.

His Majesty stressed that the region cannot enjoy security and stability without a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue on the basis of the two-state solution, which guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The meeting also touched on the economic challenges that the world and Arab countries are witnessing, especially with the outbreak of the Corona epidemic, where His Majesty stressed that the region is full of promising investment opportunities that must be taken advantage of, calling on Arab elites to harness their expertise and influence to attract investments to Arab countries.

The meeting discussed the situation of refugees in the region and the burdens imposed on the host countries, especially with the decline in the support of donor countries and the international community.

For their part, the attendees praised Jordan’s role, under the leadership of His Majesty, in defending Arab issues, especially the Palestinian cause, expressing their appreciation for His Majesty’s standing on the Arab and international arenas.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, Director of His Majesty’s Office, Dr. Jaafar Hassan, the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Washington Dina Kawar, and Jordan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Mahmoud Al-Hamoud.

His Majesty’s meeting with representatives of Arab organizations in the United States is part of His Majesty’s meetings, which included a group of senior businessmen in various sectors, especially tourism, investment and industry.
