The Queen participates in part of the Jordan Trail trails in Barqash – Tyre

Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah participated on Monday in Barqash in the Irbid governorate, walking part of one of the Jordan Trail tracks. The walk included stops at a number of points, such as the navigation skills session, the art trail, and others.

Prior to the walk, Her Majesty met at the home of Muhammad and Maysoon Dwaikat with a group of service providers in a number of areas covered by the trails, such as Umm Qais, Rasoun, Ajloun, Armimin and Salt. The meeting dealt with the effects of Corona, lessons learned from the past year and future plans, General Director of the Jordan Trail Association Bashir Daoud.

Her Majesty expressed her happiness and pride in the Jordan Darb team; And what they offer as a rich and unique experience by all standards, noting that “The Jordan Trail” is one of the first initiatives that developed eco-tourism and was able to build a range of services and activities to invest the region’s natural and community resources in a sustainable manner and with high specifications.

She said that the closures imposed by Corona during the past two years contributed greatly to the revitalization of domestic tourism and enjoying the beauty and diversity of our regions and the generosity and hospitality of its people known to Jordanians, and stressed the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of these areas. She also reiterated the need to receive vaccinations.

Daoud said that the Jordan Trail Association launched the “Trail Register” in November 2020 to provide tourists and trail participants with all the information they need about the eight areas and the thirty-five sections of the Jordan Trail. Her Majesty received the “Trail Record” and it was sealed with the first stamp of Her Majesty’s participation in the first path of the trail approved in the Register.

Her Majesty participated in the walk on part of one of the trails in the region and stopped at points, including the “Tabani Trail” point, where signs are placed to guide users of the trail, and exchanged conversations with the Navigation Skills Group and the Art and Photography Trail groups.
