Activists and tweeters participated in an electronic storm rejecting the media systems that the government seeks to approve, which constitute a major restriction of freedom of media work and freedom of opinion.

The tweeters demanded the government to withdraw these systems, pointing out that what the government is doing is a siege on free speech and a retreat in the file of freedoms and political reform.

They emphasized that these regulations violate the constitutional principles that protect freedom of opinion and expression.

The Media Authority had previously submitted amendments to media regulations that impose restrictions on websites, in addition to making Jordan the first country to request a license for direct broadcasting through social media platforms.
