Pakistani officials revealed the expected government formation of the Afghan Taliban, whose head, sources previously said, would be Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.

CNN quoted sources in Pakistan as saying that the movement’s leader, Hebatullah Akhundzada, will bear the title of “head of state and commander in chief.”

She indicated that Mullah Agha is a candidate for the position of Finance Minister, and Sirajuddin Haqqani also wants this position, but both are subject to US sanctions.

The sources added that the position of defense minister may go to Muhammad Yaqoub, or Abdul Qayyum Zaqr.

As for the Ministry of Interior, the sources suggested that Sadr Ibrahim is the country’s new interior minister.

Politically, the source in the movement told Reuters that the announcement of a new government will be next week.
