Dr. Mikhail Ginzburg confirmed that eating fish prevents blood clots and prolongs life. According to the expert, fish must be present in the diet, and this applies to both marine and river species.
The specialist explained that marine fish contain a large amount of omega-3 acids, which fight inflammatory processes in the body.
In turn, riverine species differ in the content of folic acid and vitamins responsible for regulating the level of cholesterol in the blood, thus reducing the possibility of blood clots.
The expert said, “There are studies that show that eating fish two to three times a week helps us live three and a half years longer, and eating meat with the same frequency, on the contrary, reduces life expectancy in the same period.”
