Starting to give a booster dose against corona to those who suffer from immunodeficiency

On Sunday, the Ministry of Health begins giving a booster (third) dose of the emerging coronavirus vaccine to people who suffer from immunodeficiency in several diseases.
The ministry said, in a statement, that people who want to receive the booster dose must bring evidence of diseases.
These cases included, according to the statement; Cancer patients receiving treatment, organ transplant patients, stem cell transplant patients within the last two years, patients with advanced or untreated HIV infection, patients taking large amounts of corticosteroids or immunosuppressive drugs, dialysis patients, and autoimmune diseases Such as: pneumonia, lupus fever, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, type 1 diabetes, Guillain-Barre syndrome, in addition to some genetic diseases such as (Down syndrome, DieGeorge syndrome).
The ministry indicated that receiving the booster dose for these cases will be from Sunday to Thursday of each week.
And the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health, Adel Al-Balbisi, announced, on Saturday, that the Ministry of Health is considering giving a third dose of vaccines to protect against the Corona virus for new groups.
Al-Belbeisi told Al-Mamlaka that the proposal would soon be presented to the Epidemiology Committee for approval.
He expected to start giving the booster dose in October, explaining that it will not be mandatory.
