The Society for the Preservation of the Noble Qur’an said that it is a national Quranic institution that is committed to the laws and regulations in force issued by the competent authorities, led by the Ministry of Endowments.

The association added in a press statement issued by it, following the decision of the Ministry of Awqaf to ban Sharia courses, that it practices its Quranic activities and programs in accordance with these regulations.

She pointed to the letter received from the Ministry of Awqaf, which asks the association not to announce the courses of Sharia sciences until after obtaining the approval of the Ministry and accrediting the teachers nominated to teach in them.

The association said that this means that the courses will not be held because, as stated in the same letter, if otherwise, the system of Islamic centers will be applied, some of whose penalties may reach the closure of the center.

It indicated that it circulated the letter to all its branches and centers in order to avoid any penalties that might be taken against the centers where the legal courses are held.

The Society for the Preservation of the Holy Qur’an has followed up on what was published on social media regarding the courses of Sharia sciences, and the Society would like to emphasize that it is a national Qur’anic institution that is committed to the laws and regulations in force issued by the competent authorities, led by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, and that the Society practices its Quranic activities and programs accordingly.

The Society would like to indicate that it received a letter from the Ministry of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places (Ministry of Specialization) requesting the Society not to announce Sharia science courses until after obtaining the approval of the Ministry and accrediting the teachers nominated to teach in them. – which means that these courses will not be held – because, as stated in the same letter, if otherwise, what was stated in Article (16) of the Islamic Centers Law will be applied, which specified a number of penalties and penalties, some of which may lead to the closure of the center that violated that.

Accordingly, the Society’s management circulated to its branches and centers what was contained in the book of the Messrs. Ministry of Endowments, Affairs and Islamic Sanctuaries in order to avoid any penalties that might be taken against the centers where Sharia science courses are held.

The Society has been holding these courses for more than 20 years, in which various Sharia sciences are taught. These courses are offered by a group of distinguished scholars known for their moderation and moderation and well-known in the fields of Jordanian universities, and they are graduates of prestigious universities.

On the other hand, the Society is currently carrying out its procedures regarding reconciling the status of its Quranic centers according to the Islamic Centers System issued by the Ministry of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sanctuaries, where the number of centers that sent their data to the Ministry of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sanctuaries reached about {170} Quranic centers.

In conclusion, the Society confirms that it is continuing its Quranic programs in harmony with the Ministry of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places in its keenness to implement and sponsor Quranic programs.

The Society previously graduated more than ten thousand memorizers and memorizers of the Holy Qur’an, more than fifteen thousand licensing and licensing of various Qur’anic readings, and about three thousand students in Sharia science courses. .
