The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate said that a report was received yesterday to the South Amman Police Directorate that a citizen was injured by gunshots while driving in his vehicle by an unknown person who was traveling in another vehicle.

The media spokesperson confirmed that from the moment the incident was reported, a special investigation team from the Criminal Investigation and Police Directorate investigated the case, as the team worked to collect information from the crime scene and from the path followed by the victim to lead to the suspicion of a person who was arrested and an investigation was launched with him.

The media spokesman indicated that a firearm was seized in the suspect’s possession, which was sent to the criminal laboratory to match it with the bullets that hit the victim.
