Jordan praises the Iraqi government’s policy of dialogue and calm

The Speaker of Parliament, Abdel Moneim Al-Awdat, praised the steps taken by the Iraqi government towards adopting a policy of dialogue and calm; To ensure the stability of the region, he affirmed Jordan’s appreciation for Iraq’s role in combating terrorism, which threatens the security of the entire region.

This came during his meeting with the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, at the Prime Minister’s House, in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, in the presence of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Ahmed Al-Safadi, and the Jordanian Ambassador in Baghdad, Muntasir Al-Uqla.

Al-Awdat conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II to Al-Kazemi, and His Majesty’s affirmation of the Kingdom’s keenness to translate the results of the Jordanian-Egyptian-Iraqi tripartite summits and the Baghdad Conference on Partnership and Cooperation, in a way that reflects the interests of the peoples of the three brotherly countries, congratulating the success of this conference, which was recently hosted by Iraq.

He stressed that the balance and recovery that Iraq is witnessing deserve support and backing, indicating Jordan’s keenness to build the best relations with Iraq, and that Jordan sees Iraq’s security as a fundamental pillar of the security of the entire region.

Al-Awdat stressed the importance of Iraq benefiting from the experiences of the previous stage, which proved that its recovery is dependent on the unification of its different sects towards a comprehensive goal entitled the security and stability of Iraq, the unity of its people and lands, and non-interference in its internal affairs.

For his part, Al-Kazemi stressed the depth of the bilateral relations between Iraq and Jordan, which recently reached a high level of cooperation, praising the role of His Majesty King Abdullah II in developing these relations, which was manifested in his active presence in the tripartite summits, and at the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership .

He said that the consolidation of relations between Baghdad and Amman reflects positively on the stability of the region, as well as the achievement of strategic and economic partnerships, calling on parliamentarians in both countries to work; In order to facilitate the process of bilateral and regional integration, initiated by the Iraqi and Jordanian governments.
