The Brazilian samba team achieved a difficult and valuable victory over its host Chile, 1-0, in a match held at dawn today, Friday, to calculate the seventh round of the South American qualifiers for the World Cup “Qatar 2022”.

Chile matched Brazil for much of the tense match, but substitute Everton Ribeiro handed Brazil a barely deserved 1-0 victory to maintain their full mark of success in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Brazil have won their seven qualifying matches so far, and are six points behind second-placed Argentina.

On the other hand, Chile fell to sixth place after its balance froze at seven points.

The South American qualifiers include ten teams, and the top four teams in the qualifiers qualify directly for the Qatar 2022 finals, while the fifth-placed player plays a playoff against a team from another continent.

Argentina boosts its career

In the same context, Argentina extended their unbeaten run to 21 matches, today, Friday, after their easy 3-1 victory in Caracas over Venezuela in the same qualifiers.

Venezuela beat Argentina once in their last 14 World Cup qualifiers, and their hopes for a repeat of that were dashed again today, Friday, when Luis Adrian Martinez was sent off with a direct red card, for a violent offense against Argentine star Lionel Messi after half an hour.

After that, the Argentine team completely dominated the match, and scored the first goal seconds before the end of the first half, when Lautaro Martinez received a beautiful pass from Giovanni Lo Celso, before putting the ball past the advanced goalkeeper to meet him.

Argentina took possession of the ball more thanks to its numerical superiority and added two goals, in the 71st and 74th minutes, through the substitutes, Juan Correa and Angel Correa.

Iverson Sutildo scored Venezuela’s only goal from a penalty kick in stoppage time.

Argentina is in second place in the qualifiers with 15 points, behind the leaders Brazil with 21 points, while Venezuela is in the last tenth place with four points.
