On Wednesday, Jordan approved the Israeli ambassador, Surkis, as ambassador to the Kingdom for the Israeli occupation.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs appointed him as its ambassador to Jordan on September 24, 2020.

Surkis previously worked as a diplomat at the embassy in Amman years ago.

Surkis was the Special Envoy for Water in the Middle East Department of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Surkis was also a former consul in Rio de Janeiro and deputy ambassador to several countries, including Jordan, Brazil, Peru and Atlanta.
