Today, Friday, the Public Security Directorate confirmed the arrest of the suspect of shooting a citizen while he was driving his vehicle yesterday, Thursday, in the Yadoudeh area in the capital, Amman, which caused his death of injury.

The media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate, Colonel Amer Al-Sartawi, said that a report was received yesterday to the South Amman Police Directorate, that a citizen was wounded by gunshots while driving his vehicle by an unknown person who was traveling in another vehicle. by injuring him.

Al-Sartawi confirmed that, from the moment the incident was reported, a special investigation team from the Criminal Investigation and Police Directorate investigated the case, as the team worked to collect information from the crime scene and from the path followed by the victim, to lead to the suspicion of a person, who was arrested and the investigation was launched. with him.

He pointed out that a firearm was seized from the suspect’s possession, and it was sent to the criminal laboratory to match it and the shots that hit the victim.

And a security source in the South Amman Police Directorate confirmed yesterday that a vehicle without number plates, in which more than one person was present, chased the vehicle of another young man in the Yadoudeh area – Qweismeh Brigade.

The source added, that after a deliberately shocking attempt by the vehicle without plates, those in it fired a series of shots at the young man’s vehicle, as a result of which he was hit by 5 bullets in the head and chest areas, and he was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment. His condition was extremely dangerous.

According to information obtained by the electronic newspaper “Akhbar Al-Jordan”, the young man who was attacked and injured is from the city of Irbid, and works in a pharmaceutical factory in Amman.
