The death toll from flooding caused by Hurricane Ida has risen to at least 13, officials said Thursday.

Police reported that nine people died in New York City. Four were killed in Elizabeth, New Jersey, a mayor spokesman told AFP. Local media reported that at least 22 people were killed in the New York area. (AFP)
