Those in charge of the campaign “Political Science Graduates from Jordanian Universities” said that the approach of the Minister of Agriculture, Khaled Al-Hanaifat, “constitutes a real danger to the agricultural sector and the aspirations of young people in Jordan.”

On Wednesday, the security services arrested the campaign coordinator, Moaz Wahsha, following a complaint filed by the Minister of Agriculture against him, before he was released at a later time.

The campaign affirmed its rejection of “the behavior of the Minister of Agriculture, Khaled Al-Hanaifat, which reflects a reactionary mentality in dealing with young people.”

The campaign asked: “Is it reasonable to follow the approach of silencing the mouths and martial law in the second centenary stage of the state and the stage of political modernization?”

The graduates of political science intend to carry out an open sit-in on the Fourth Circle on Sunday 5-9-2021 at nine in the morning.

According to a letter addressed by the Coordinator of the Political Science Committee, Moaz Wahsha, to the governor of the capital, a group of political science graduates from Jordanian universities who support their cause will participate in the sit-in.

The graduates had expressed their refusal to classify the political science major as one of the stagnant majors for which job applications would not be received at the Civil Service Bureau.
