International superstar Beyoncé and the jewelry company raised Tiffany & Co Controversy after the American singer became the first black woman to wear the famous Tiffany diamond, as critics said that the stone was stolen during the colonial era, according to “Russia Today”.

The yellow diamond was mined in Kimberley, South Africa in 1877, and is one of the largest diamonds of its kind ever discovered. Charles Lewis Tiffany, founder of Tiffany & CoHe purchased the diamond the following year and has been with the company ever since, weighing 128.54 carats.
