Milk provides the body with plenty of vitamins and minerals, in addition to being an excellent source of protein, and hundreds of different fatty acids, including omega-3.
However, studies carried out by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (BCRM) in the United States indicated that milk contains dangerous saturated fats, according to the “Medical Forum” website.
Researchers confirm that high levels of saturated fats are the main cause of death worldwide, as they contribute to high levels of cholesterol in the blood, narrowing of the arteries and an increased risk of heart disease.
The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine pointed to the increasing prevalence of lactose intolerance, which is the body’s inability to break down sugar in milk, whose symptoms appear a few hours after drinking milk, namely: increased gas formation, diarrhea, bloating, stomach cramps and pain, gurgling in the stomach. stomach, feeling sick;
The National Health Service explained that the severity and timing of lactose intolerance symptoms depend on the amount of lactose ingested, and that the first symptoms may appear in adults between 20-40 years of age, and that the only treatment for lactose intolerance is to stay away from foods that contain lactose, such as milk.
Research has shown that there is no practical effect of dairy products on bone health, that a cup of milk raises blood sugar levels, and that a cup of whole milk raises blood glucose slower than a cup of skim milk, but contains more calories due to the fat present.
The Australian “Dementia” Center stated that eating less saturated fat may protect against the risk of brain diseases and the collapse of mental cognition, and therefore, logically, stopping eating milk eliminates the risk of dementia, Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.
