European Commission President Ursula von der confirmed that the European Union is not engaged in any political talks with the Taliban, and has not yet recognized them.

According to ANSA news agency, this came during a press conference for the President of the Commission in the Spanish capital, Madrid, during which she indicated that the contacts that the European Union is conducting with the Taliban are limited to the aspect concerned with facilitating people’s access to the airport.
