– Put the ghee in another dish, add a spoonful of honey to it, then stir well, and if the honey is not homogeneous with the ghee, you can put it on the fire until the ingredients are mixed.
– Put the mixture of ghee and honey on the previous flour mixture, stirring well.
How to make basbousa
Grease a tray with a spoon of ghee, then put the dough in it and distribute it evenly in the tray, and you can decorate it with nuts as desired, and then put it in the oven for half an hour until it takes a golden color.
– While putting the basbousa in the oven, prepare the syrup, by putting sugar and water in a pot and stir them well, then put it on the fire, and when it starts to boil, add lemon juice, vanilla and two tablespoons of white honey, then leave it on a low heat and boil for 5 minutes and then put it on the stove. by putting out the fire.
When the basbousa is cooked, take it out of the oven and put the syrup on it, leave it until it cools down from the heat, then cut it and serve it.
