Chocolate is one of the most famous and very famous foods because of its wonderful and quick results on the mood and psychological state of the eater, as it provides a good dose of happiness for some, but many consider it as a food that may increase human obesity as well.

A new study, published July 6 in the Journal of Cardiovascular Research, reports results that differ from expectations about the potential benefits of chocolate.

Researchers from the University of Naples reviewed nearly 100 studies focused on eating different foods and their relationship to the most common diseases in the world in which millions of people die annually.

The results of the research, which was published by “Sputnik”, part of it previously under the title (Study: Eating tomatoes with olive oil has a great effect on the human heart) indicated that there is a wonderful and direct effect of eating tomatoes and olive oil on the human heart.

But the magazine “Insider” highlighted another aspect, which is the effect of chocolate on the heart, among the results of this comprehensive study to collect common foods today.

Yogurt and cheese…unexpected results
The magazine noted that eating yogurt in small amounts regularly can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
Experts pointed out that these strange results about yogurt may be due to the fermentation process involved in those foods, from which they acquire their unique flavour.

The researchers found that eating up to 200 grams of dairy products per day was not associated with an increased risk of heart disease, although there is limited data on the effects of higher consumption. Dairy products have a protective and anti-cardiac effect.

The study linked eating small amounts of chocolate daily to a lower risk of cardiovascular disease in humans, diseases linked to the highest mortality rate in the world, according to research.

The results of the study showed that eating between 20 grams to 45 grams of chocolate per day, or approximately half a full 1.5-ounce bar of chocolate, has a very significant benefit and is directly linked to heart health.

Researchers recommend 10 grams of chocolate per day, to avoid consuming a lot of added sugar or extra calories that can offset the heart health benefits and turn them into negative outcomes.
Evidence suggests that certain compounds in cocoa used to make chocolate called flavanols are directly linked to heart-healthy benefits.

It is worth noting that some previous studies indicated that dark (sugar-free) chocolate may be the best option for heart health, because it is rich in flavanols, antioxidants and other beneficial nutrients, unlike milk chocolate.
