Compass – Representative Saleh Al-Armouti said that the government answered a question he asked about the reason for closing Marka Civil Airport to civil flights, and that this agreement signed with a French company may be a state secret.

In statements to Hosni Radio on Wednesday, Armouti deplored the government’s response, represented by the Minister of Transport, Wajih Azayza, and his failure to inform him of the terms and details of the agreement, on the grounds that “this agreement may be a state secret.”

Al-Armouti indicated that the agreement signed with the French company to manage the airport allows the Jordanian government to use Marka Airport if the number of passengers and arrivals exceeds a certain number, which prompted him to ask the government about the reason behind not operating it.

Armouti asked, “Since when are agreements that hold state secrets considered? “
