Experts in the United States have noted that severe fatigue and chronic headaches are among the most common signs among children with long-term coronavirus.
According to Dr. Rochelle Walinsky, two to three per cent of children who recover from the virus have been found to have these symptoms.
She said during a White House briefing: “We are studying long-term corona in children and we see that the symptoms are fatigue and headache.”
Co-directors of the Post-Corona Pediatric Rehabilitation Clinic, Dr. Amanda Morrow and Dr. Laura Malone, said COVID-19 in children can include a variety of symptoms other than fatigue and headaches.
Other symptoms, they said, include “activity tolerance, dizziness, cognitive impairment that leads to learning difficulties, and mood symptoms.”
“We don’t know the expected recovery time, but many of our patients improve symptoms over time,” they told Fox News.
A new study from the United States has found that two-thirds of people who show mild symptoms of the coronavirus end up with a long-term corona.
Researchers at the University of Arizona found that among those who tested positive for COVID-19, 68.7% experienced at least one symptom after 30 days — the threshold for the COVID-19 virus.
After 30 days, people with “Long Covid” reported feeling tired, shortness of breath, brain fog, tension/anxiety, taste/smell changes, body and muscle aches, insomnia headaches, joint pain and congestion.
