On Thursday, Ismail Haniyeh, head of Hamas’ political bureau, and Ziad al-Nakhala, Secretary-General of Islamic Jihad, arrived in the Iranian capital, Tehran, to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the new president, Ibrahim Raisi.

This came according to two separate statements issued by the two movements, and Anatolia received a copy of them.

In its statement, the official Hamas website said, “Haniyeh arrived in Tehran, in response to an official invitation, to participate in the inauguration ceremony of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi,” without additional details.

In turn, a statement issued by the “Islamic Jihad” said that “Al-Nakhla arrived in Tehran, accompanied by a leading delegation, to participate in the inauguration of the new president, in response to an official invitation.”

On Thursday evening, a major inauguration ceremony will be held in Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) in Tehran.

And Iranian media quoted the spokesman for the Presidency of Parliament, Seyyed Nizamuddin Mousavi, that 115 officials from 73 countries will participate in the inauguration ceremony of the new president.
