An epidemiologist warns of a heart attack and stroke after “Covid-19”

Antonina Ploskarova, Deputy Director of Clinical Work at the Central Scientific Research Institute of the Consumer Rights Protection Agency in Russia, warned of the risks of a heart attack and stroke after “Covid-19”.
“As a result of infection with Covid-19, irreversible changes in the lungs (fibrosis), myocardial infarction and stroke, which can make the patient a disabled person,” the expert says in an interview with the Russian RIA Novosti news agency.
And Ploskarova notes that some patients who have contracted the emerging coronavirus, regardless of whether they are hospitalized or not, retain various symptoms for a long time, such as asthenic syndrome and respiratory problems such as coughing. But most of these symptoms go away later.
