Today, Friday, the Health and Safety Committee of the Northern Jordan Valley closed a bakery in Northern Shouneh for violating health conditions.

The administrator of the Northern Jordan Valley, head of the committee, Dr. Ali Al-Hawamdeh, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the closure of the bakery came after it was proven that the dough was used in open water from tanks exposed to pollution.

He indicated that one of the managers of the bakery has been arrested, and legal measures will be taken until the violation is corrected.

Al-Hawamdeh stressed that the supervisory inspection tours are continuing on all shops of all kinds to ensure the safety of foodstuffs, calling for the need to adhere to the conditions of public health and safety.
