An official military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army said that the Eastern Military Region, in cooperation with the Anti-Narcotics Department, thwarted this morning, Friday morning, an attempt to infiltrate and smuggle from Syrian territory into Jordanian territory.

The source said that the rules of engagement were applied, which led to their escape into the Syrian depth, and after searching the area, large quantities of narcotic substances were found.

The source stressed that the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army will deal with all force and firmness with any infiltration or smuggling attempt to protect the borders and prevent those who try to tamper with Jordan’s national security.
